Some of these quotes from the parents are awesome.
"We're simply trying to teach our child a lesson. If he doesn't learn that now, it's gonna be the whole world's problem, not just ours in a couple of years."
"Or we let him run all over, then he's in your backyard, taking your stuff."
To be clear, I'm on the parents side. Sounds like they got a dickhead for a kid and they're trying to punish him and teach him a lesson. They're giving it there best effort. But there are a couple big flaws with this. They let him sleep in the house at night. They let him use the bathrooms in the house. They let him eat food from the house. So what's the punishment?
As far as I can see this kid wakes up in his bed, walks outside to his personal hide out in the backyard and hangs out all day, then goes back inside at night to sleep. That sounds pretty nice?
When I was 14 I built a tree fort and would hang out in it during the day. I wasn't being punished. I was just a teenager doing fun stuff. Plus why doesn't this kid just go to his friends during the day? Ride his bike to some parking lots and hang out. I don't think the kid is even complaining.
The only people complaining about this whole thing is those old neighbors.
Parents - just trying to teach their dickhead son a lesson.
Son - Living a fun teenage life.
Cops - Don't give a fuck.
Neighbors - So mad.
It can't be that the neighbors think this is too much either. That's jut a front. They don't like looking at the tent in the backyard or something stupid like that. If you questioned them long enough they'd break and say "I just don't like looking at it" or "I just don't like them" or "I'm just old and bored".
Only solution for this kid is military or jail. Sounds like two years and he'll be seeing one of those.
I like the Yankees, watching TV shows and talking about stuff.
