Flashback episodes are always a mixed bag. Some of that stuff was funny. Some was awful. The James croc story was so bad. Seeing how much Paulie sucks again was annoying to watch but also fun to remember. Victors laugh was funny.
This is my favorite thing I read on reddit about the final three...
How crazy would that be? Paul 100 percent deserves to win more than James. His gameplay was ten times better. BUT James does probably have more friends in Jury because who the hell did James make mad? No one.
It would be funny if the first couple of votes went against James and then Natalie was like "sorry Jamesy but I have to do what you taught me and vote with the house".
Excited for the finale.
"She's a little weird"
This show fucking dragged for so long during the season. Now we are down to final three in no time. What Paul has done in the last two weeks is really impressive. The most important wins of the season have both been claimed by him. Can't take that away from him.
I still think James and Nicole were secretly each others ride or dies. It's not an original thought by me either. A lot of people have pointed it out. Including a dude who showed up at the big brother set and yelled it on a megaphone for the house guests to hear.
Any matchup between the final three I see being tight votes. Maybe James is the weak link against both of them but I still think a lot of people really like him in Jury and he can always claim that losing all those comps was his strategy. Having two of the returnees in the final two is kind of telling. Especially when half of the cast had not a single clue what Big Brother was before being on it.
I never thought Corey deserved to win so I'm gad it was him that left today. When we were at 6 people remaining and it was 3 sets of duos I was hoping we would get to final three without a duo left in the house. And now here we are. Shortest final three in big brother history? Fun stuff!
I kind of included some thoughts within the recap. Very happy to see Paul won that last HoH. I'd love Corey or Nicole to go home and have the final three not include any duos.
With another episode coming so quickly I'm not going to say much. I'm just going to leave my favorite Vic Gif below.
Corey had to make that move. Had to. I think Paul knew it was coming. He understands the game. Victor has come a long way from the beginning but he's still way to trusting.
I think James and Nicole have had the strongest alliance in the house this entire time and no one knew about it. Not the house guests. Not production. Not me. Not you. This veto competition is going to be awesome. I hope Victor or Paul win just to shake it all up again.
Nicole has sneaky played a great game and its not really a secret anymore. She has never been on the block. If she makes it to final two I don't know how she doesn't win. She's never been on the block! That's a crazy stat.
If they were to implement a no showmances allowed rule I think I would be for it. The first half of this episode, all the Natalie and James stuff sucks. I don't know if it is just the way they edited it but Natalie was definitely using James. If not for her games sake then definitely just because she needed a companion and someone to like her. When she said no to sleeping together then went on to say how excited she was to meet Julie and go to Jury she knew exactly what she was doing. Riling his feathers. Twisting the little dagger. I'm glad James said enough and gave it back to her a little bit.
I hope James wins this HoH but there is no way he does. This is a long legs competition and Corey will easily win it. I think Corey will flip the script and put it Paul and Victor knowing he has Nicole and James vote.
This season went from super super boring to excited and a lot of stuff happening but its been stuck on boring mode again. I hope this next week things get shaken up again and we see some fun moves and blowups.
Sorry for the lack of pictures of gifs in this recap but literally nothing worthwhile happened.
I really hope James wakes up and fights for himself to stay. He has been insufferable lately. Not doing shit. White knighting like Natalie is going to marry him if he goes out before her. Shut up dude. Just play the game.
Something that happened that they wont show on tv is someone with a megaphone yelled over the wall "James has a pre season alliance with Nicole". James, Nat, Paul and Victor were all out there and they all heard it.
If this is true. If James and Nicole had a preseason deal... which makes sense considering they have made an in season deal to give each other 10k if they win... then Jame definitely threw that comp. He did so bad and he seemed real shady when Natalie asked him. Who knows though. Maybe I am just looking for reasons why he has played such a boring and safe game all season.
Who ever stays. Whether it be James or Natalie, whoever it is has to win HoH next week. Otherwise we are going to get another boring week until final four. I hope they vote out Nat. She trashes James in her post game interview and says she never liked him at all. James wins HoH and puts up Corey and Victor. I just want drama and interesting moves.
This episode was boring as shit. Is James or Nat don't win the POV then that will be really boring. It's Labor Day Weekend and I'm too exhausted. Need more things to happen.
P.S. Did you guys know that James is from Texas?
I'm in the middle of a 6 pack beer review so I'm kind of tipsy going into this.
It may be because I'm drunk, it may be because I am a big sap but seeing the dudes crying after seeing there parents got me going. It's just something that hits the core of me. I work weddings and every time I see the groom cry i'm like "yeah! HELL YEAH!" Same goes with sports coaches... Joe Torre, Dick Vermeil, any sports crier. Love it.
I though Michelle would last a lot longer. I though it made sense for a couple to bring her to the final three. But now we have three couples left in the house. Paul and Victor are definitely the strongest. Natalie and James are definitely the weakest. Comp beast Victor will probably win HoH. If he or Paul win it then it will get interesting. Will they honor the final four and put Natalie and James on the block or will they try to split up the two showmances.
Shall be interesting.
i don't really have anyone I am rooting for or against anymore. I think Victor would be the best story. Paul deserves it. Nicole deserves it. Who knows? I'm just rooting for big moves and fun shit to go down.
Nicole turning heel on Paul and Victor would be awesome. She would have to convince Corey to do it for her. Because if Victor and Corey vote to eliminate Michelle and James and Natalie vote to eliminate Paul then it is a 2 - 2 tie and Nicole will be put on the spot big time. If she is in that situation she HAS TO evict Paul. Has to. Same way Vanessa had to vote out her final two alliance Austin (he sucked so hard) last season. It may never be easier to get Paul out.
James needs to wake up. Wake up James! You're losing fans by the minute.
As annoying as Mama Day is when things aren't going her way that's how entertaining she is when she's happy. She's got the gift of gab and can shit talk as good as anyone when she turns it up. Pure entertainment. That montage of her ripping on Paulie is awesome.
Speaking of Paulie, what the hell happened. I thought he was one of the likable dudes the first half. I really did. But now it's like I've been exposed to the light and the light is bright and the light even shines through on the past. I can't ever watch him talk and not think he is some weird, robot, douche. Everything he says is just so fucking weird and stiff and scared sounding. He constantly seems to be coming from a place of defense and self doubt but trying to burst through with some fake bravado bullshit.
Not much else to say. The plan Victor and Paul concocted was cool and fun to watch but would have been really hard to pull off.
Pretty stupid of Corey not to realize at this point in the game every Veto comp matters. Even if you think you have the numbers. Go out there and try to win. Save yourself. Unless you are James and throwing comps has become so second nature you've forgotten winning exists.
Today we saw how hard it would be to live in the Big Brother house for this long. The he said, she said, stuff is crazy and you never ever will know what the truth is until you are out. On the live feeds the other day Corey was still saying there is no way that Vanessa won the Roadkill competition over Frank. That shit is so old that most of us have forgot about it but for them it's still all an unsurety. That really has to mess with you. I'd go insane and over think every thing.
This upcoming vote all lays in the hands of James. Michelle and Natalie can't vote because they are HoH. Victor and Corey can't vote because they are on the block. That leaves three people. Nicole, who is definitely going to vote Victor out and Paul, who is definitely going to vote Corey out. Then there is James. The deciding vote.
I don't see ANY REASON at all why he would vote Corey out over Victor. He's in the weird showmance final four with Corey and Nicole. Victor is much better at comps and therefore a bigger threat to his game. I'd be shocked if he chooses to keep Victor.
We have the jury buy back still to come. I'm not excited for that. If Victor gets evicted I hope he comes right back into the house. Would be awesome for him to double jesus us.
I think it was really easy to see that Paul would be the next target. Whoever seems to be running the house will always have the house crash down upon him in this game.
I don't think putting up Victor alongside Paul was the smart play for Natalie and Michelle. I get they that this way they only piss of one group instead of two. But it is late in the game. They should have put up Paul and Nicole. If Nicole goes home now Corey is alone. If Paul goes home now Victor is alone. But either way that solidified that Michelle was in with James and Natalie.
If the final four is the two showmances then that's kind of a bummer. I'm definitely rooting for Victor to beast it out and win the whole thing, which is crazy because at the beginning of the summer I think I said he was the dumbest person alive and wanted him out of the house.
Michelle won Americas Care Package? What's wrong with everyone? She's definitely gotten better in the last couple weeks but lets not completely forget how terrible she was.
Paul has to be PISSED that he's never won a care package. He's gotta think he is the most likable person in the cast by far and yet he's never won a care package. Tough break.
The jury buy back is kind of upsetting. We had the Battle Back already. All the twists are annoying. It also really sucks for Frank. Every house guest evicted before Frank got a chance to play in the Battle Back competition. All the house guests evicted after Frank will get to participate in the Jury Buy Back. Frank is sitting at home going "guys????".
I think now that Paulie is gone Paul really needs to win HoH or he's gonna get busted. The only person fully in his corner is Vic but even Vic knows it's time to take out good competitors (because Paul told him that).
I hate to say it but at this point I see Michelle getting to the final three. She's escaped certain death three times. Some how. Some way. She's already seen her game die so she's not really playing scared. It's like that saying that a soldier in war functions best when they accept they are already dead. Meech thinks she has no chance at winning so she'll keep stirring the pot and pissing people off.
James and Nicole have never been nominated. Not pre veto comp. Not after veto comp. Not as a roadkill nominee. Something to be said about that. It seemed like James wasn't playing the game for a long time but maybe he was. Same with Nicole. She may be a rat but she's done some stuff right.
The house is split into groups of twos. With Meech being left out.
.James Paul Nicole
Natalie Vicvtor Corey Michelle
Whoever wins from HoH. I think they will put up 1 person each from the other two twosomes. Which leaves Michelle off the block.
Who ever wins Americas Care Package will also probably get to be co HoH. That will be huge. I feel like Paul will get it just from how good of an edit he gets.
As far as the buy back goes. Give me anyone buy Zakiyah. I actually would like to see Mama Day the most because I think that stirs the pot the biggest. Paulie would just be a reset. Bridgette would be okay.
Watch this clip to remember Paulie by..
It's finally starting to feel like we are getting to the last days of this season. When they sit down in the main room there is a lot of extra room on those cushions. Paulie is a classic example of a dumb alpha male who can not handle not being number one. I get that it's got to suck to look around and realize you are all alone in the game but there are different ways to react. His two reactions are to first get super defensive and aggressive and talk one syllable at a time with wild hand gestures. His second reaction is to just quit and say fuck this.
All week Paulie said if he gets voted out he is going to rage quit jury because he can't be cooped up in a house and not let out. (yeah he doesn't get the irony that thats what he's currently doing). He also refused to bake pies and production had to yell at him. I don't understand why they edited him crying with sad music and tried to make it seem like he was a victim.
When they tried to get in Paulies head before the competition he said "it's a move out of my playbook" then later on he said they were only doing it because they were scared of him. So when other people do it its cause they are scared but when he does it it is good gameplay. There are a ton of other examples of him contradicting himself with stuff like this.
I still think this may get ugly for Paul. He is the next person that is controlling every thing. That hasn't worked well for people this season.
Victor has been super impressive since he's come back. He's won a ton of comps. Even though some are thrown to him. Yesterday James definitely threw that so he wouldn't have the POV. But his ability to talk to Paulie and calmly shoot down everything Paulie says with logic and reasoning and without being mean or losing his cool is impressive. Here is a clip of that.
That's all. If you want to talk about the show with me some more I'm free and I like talking to anyone about anything to distract me from my life.
This season is finally starting to get good. People are doing things and making moves. But first I gotta say... so much for this season being all about the girls. There was a lot of hype that the girls were strong and they were going to form an alliance and work together and all that shit. Welp, there are only three left now and they are divided so there goes that.
Paulie really has shown that he is #jerk. His inability to stay cool when shit is raining down on him sucks. He turns into this arrogant and defensive idiot. That is why Frank was awesome. Dude was always composed and able to talk through things while making solid points. James showed a bit of that too in that clip where Paulie is yelling at him and he's just like "woah dude, you're really aggressive huh?"
Big Brother really is a case study on how people can change week to week. I hate someone this week, I love them the next. I hate Paul. I love Paul. I hate Paul. I love Paul. At this point Paul is playing the best game. He has everyones ear and trust. BUT that is exactly what Frank had and HE GONE. Then it was exactly what Paulie had and he may be gone. So if Paulie goes home the house may very well all turn on Paul next.
Props to Victor for making a big move. He could have easily put Nicole and Michelle up and stayed in the middle of the house. Or something dumb like that. I'm excited for the rest of this season and that is something I haven't said since Frank got evicted.
A lot has happened in this house since this episode. It feels silly to comment on what happened when I know tomorrow everything changes. Some small things though.
Zaki, you are a fool. You haven't played the game at all and just coasted on Paulie and you couldn't even do that right. Nice body and face though!
James, thanks for entertaining me thoroughly.
Michelle, please leave and never come back.
Frank, I miss you.
Tomorrow night is a double eviction and the house shall be flipped. I won't be able to watch it though because I'll be in Utah doing dumb stuff with my friend Jake.
What the hell was that speech by Victor?
I have nominated you Zakiyah
and you Michelle.
Nine to One.
Do those numbers ring a bell?
On my eviction night
that's how the vote fell.
Now you guys will feel just how the votes felt.
This is just pure strategy
If it was up to you, yours truly would be on the block
and to be honest you never really show me too much attention
Pauly is the only one who gets your affection.
It should be clear to see
you were rude and mean
yesterday wasn't the day to piss people off
I really hope that this doesn't ruin any friendships
so I have some beads that ya'll can cherish
The fuck? So confused by it. So in love with it. Bead drop was bad ass.
Michelle needs to get out of here. She cries every second. She has the worst brain and logic ever. She sucks.
Overall the house is kind of boring. I dislike a lot of people and I like maybe one or two. The house needs to get flipped or the rest of this season is going to boring as fuck.
Paul was likable for two episodes. I think I even had him in my top three one week. Man what a mistake. So unlikable. Just yells and talks in annoying slang non stop. The "your boy" shit is driving me up a wall. I liked him when he was the house mascot. When he just ran around saying friendship and making muffins. Now he's terrible again.
Everything about the rest of this seasons seems like it is going to suck. We really need James or someone to flip the house. If it stays like this it's going to be boring as hell.
God I miss Frank.
Big brother is a great character study. This show really proves that people are diverse and not archetypes. Everyone in the house right now has a good and bad side to them. Most of them I have disliked at times then likes at others. Besides Frank. I've always like him. The house thinks he is so shady but all he has ever done is be honest with everyone. Too honest actually. He'll probably be sent home this week and that's a bummer. I think he deserves to make jury at least.
James was probably so mad he had to win that HOH. He wanted to stay quiet as long as possible but he's in love with Natalie and being in a showmance makes you have to play the game for two people. He knew that Natalie would definitely be put up as a pawn against Frank, or put up to replace the veto winner. He had to win HOH to keep her safe.
James putting Frank and Bridgette on the block wasn't a ballsy or big move at all. It was a coward move actually. Just to please the house and keep status quo. Well James, status quo has you pretty far down the totem pole right now anyway. Why not get Frank and Bridge on your side and really shake things up?
I see Frank getting sent home and then Bridgette doing a ton of crying in the future.
First and formost, Paul has won me over. He's playing the house perfectly right now. Knows that Paulie and Corey are in power so he'll be their little rat for a little. Knows that people like food so he starts baking treats. Here's the thing about the muffins. When he said he doesn't even like muffins at the end... that's my life. Cooking is a weird thing. I don't really have a passion for food, or cooking, or anything in the general area but somehow I fell ass backwards into making Blind Taste Tests (53 of them!) and Tasty Reviews, i get Blue Apron shipped to me and snapchat myself cook every Sunday. The cooking bug is so bizarre so I totally understand Pauls obsession with making muffins and also his confusion on why and how it continues to happen. Good for Paul.
The rest of the drama from this episode... I don't even know. I still like Frank. I enjoy his ability to laugh off situations and questions. The oddest thing I find is... Mama Day always bashing Frank in her diary rooms and making him out to be a big bully to Paul at the end... I don't get it because when Frank and Day sit down and talk it actually feels like the most friendly and genuine conversations that happen in the house. She seems to laugh and joke right with him. Maybe it is just great acting by her. Who knows. Mama Day sure does have her good and evil sides though huh? She makes me laugh sometimes in her diaries, she annoys me sometimes in her diaries. Her ability to see the game and the big picture is uncanny. But her inability to stay out of drama is bad. I don't think she will get evicted tomorrow but I think she may be gone soon.
Get Vanessa out of here. Last year I fucking hated Vanessa, but at the same time I respected her cause she had balls and made moves. Not the case this season. This seasons Vanessa sucks. The way she argues and tries to sound confident is so transparent..
Little sneak peak from the Live Feeds.... Michelle is highly unlikable.
P.S. Let's all remember we didn't have to see/hear Bronte tonight and be thankful.
I like the Yankees, watching TV shows and talking about stuff.
