Today we have the video/story of Jim Craig searching for his father after winning the gold medal in the 1980 Olympics.
Little back story. Craig's mother died when he was a junior in college after a long bout with cancer. It was only Jim and his Father left and his father was hurting. His mom was his biggest fan and supporter, as moms are. After winning the gold medal in the olympics. Over coming the most staggering odds in the history of sports Jim only wanted to do one thing. Find his father in the stands and have a moment.
Here are two videos. The depiction of this moment in the movie Miracle and the real life footage from 1980. In the actual footage you see him mouth "where's my father" while scanning the crowd. People are pointing and trying to help him find his dad. If the cameras stayed on him for when they actually connected I'd be a bag of mush.
