Susto is a band from South Carolina that has been steadily getting more and more recognition. They have opened for Band of Horses a handful of times and get a lot of praise from within the industry.
They lie somewhere within the Americana, Southern Folk and Indie worlds. What I really love about them is the mellow sound every song has. Nothing seems rushed or forced. The songs also speak of a coming of age story. This song shows the complex relationships we sometimes fall into. This girls means something special to him. Whether they are dating, broken up, just friends or distant, the feeling of love and respect will always be there. That's the kind of thought process that comes as we mature. When you are younger it's love or hate. You love someone and if something happens you are done with them. At some point you grow up an realize it's okay to hold old loved ones in your heart still. Caring for the people that have had an impact in your life is only natural.
Oh but Friends and Lovers, ex-Lovers, or whatever...
I hope you know I'll always care.
Oh Friends and Lovers, ex-Lovers or whatever...
just call my name, I'll be there.
Yeah call my name, I'll be there
Other good songs from Susto, who have only put out one album thus far, hat I would recommend are...
I like the Yankees, watching TV shows and talking about stuff.
