We had family dinner this past sunday. My house was in charge of bringing dessert so Jamie and I decided to try a Tasty Recipe. We chose this monkey bread one. Here is the buzzfeed tasty video. Looks delicious in the video. Plus monkey bread was the first thing I ever learned how to cook. Back in 7th grade Home Ec. Oh good story actually.
Everybody got put into groups of four to cook. My group was me and three physically/mentally disabled kids. It was cause I was friends with one of them, he was a cool guy, my first day of school in 5th grade he got naked in the bathroom and continuously asked me for a hug. I had no idea what to do. All the other kids in the class just laughed and ran away. I stayed and talked, just said I wasn't going to give him a hug. Then he sat on the radiator that came off the wall and the entire thing broke off and he fell to the floor. So there I am, the new kid on his first day at a new school in the bathroom alone, trying to casually wash my hands as the kid with down syndrome rolls on the floor naked in pain with a burnt ass.
Anyway back in that Home Ec class, there was a lot of drooling and sloppy hands in the mix, which kind of turned me off to eating the food we were making. I felt like a jerk for not wanting to eat it until the aid straight up said she wouldn't eat any. So that meant I took all the recipes to the shit we made home and tried them out there. So in 7th grade I made a good amount of Monkey Bread.
As you can see from the video. This Monkey Bread was not good. Too much cream cheese. The cream cheese didn't come off as a cream cheese icing of sorts, that would have been pretty good. Instead it was just normal ice cream. Boooooo. Wasn't good. Next time nix the cream cheese.
I like the Yankees, watching TV shows and talking about stuff.
